320km – 10.07.2019

Mileage may vary.

“GOM and its 230% error!”

Guess o meter (the gauge that tell you how much EV range you have left) – GOM is extremely inaccurate and is another proof of bad Mitsubishi software. I saw values from 80km to 35km at 100% charge of the battery. We all understand that “mileage may vary”, but an error of 230% shows a huge lack of professionalism from Mitsubishi and no attention to the driver needs.

“No SOC in percentage!”

The car does not display the state of charge in percentage (although this value is available in the car computer) and the bars in the #GOM have more guess work then any relation with the actually state of charge of the battery (I noticed an error of max 10 km between the actually SOC and the displayed battery bars).

Mitsubishi, I have a suggestion for you. Do what GM has done with the Volt, 35 miles (55km) and after 8 years and 300k miles (500km) it still has 50km. Volt has 18.4 kWh (vs Outlander 13,8kWh), but it lets the user use only a portion of the battery that guarantee that 50km no matter what.

And Kill the #beeps.

“Beeps all the time”

The F***ING car beeps. It beeps almost all the time for every reason (door opened, remove key, rear traffic, blind spot, during start, during stop, no gas, charge door opened, etc.… in addition of park sensors and seat belt) on and on and on… is very annoying. My wife did not yelled at me so many times in 4 years of marriage as this car did in 2 months. You cannot disable this beeps! I hate all these distractions! I had been driving for more than 14 years with no accidents, I do not know what Mitsubishi thinks of the drivers of their cars, but not all PHEV drivers are morons. I may want to park the car in a very tight place. I may want to move it to a new, faster charging location without closing the charge port.
